Logan's 4 month update!

Logan is 4 months old today and growing so fast!
In this last month we have started solid food and he is doing amazing with it!
He rolls from his back to his belly and has started gurgling away. He will just sit there and talk to himself for a long time. He has started giggling properly and mostly laughs at his feet! He grabbs everything especially his jungle gym.
He has started to like his swing now that he hated when he was first born.
He made a new friend at baby group that he loves. He just smiles at him! I hope he'll stay friends with him and they'll be in the same year at school!
His favourite foods this month are butternut squash, banana and peach and apricot porridge. Today he ate fresh banana for the first time and Iv never seen him open his mouth so big!
He went to his first party and screamed when it would normally be his bed time as we have such a good bedtime routine at home. When we went back to sleep at nannys he was so scared and screamed so bad we had to drive back home to his own bed!
He also went to his first funeral for his beautiful great grandma who he loved so much!

One year since my pregnancy test!

It's one year today since taking my pregnancy test and I remember that day like it was yesterday. It's the day I found out I was capable of loving someone more than anything else in the world and the day we told close family and friends we were expecting.
A few of my favourite reactions were:
- Luke's grandma. They had had a fall out and they weren't talking to each other. So we went round to break the ice by telling her we were having a baby. Needless to say she didn't stay quiet long!
- then we went to Luke's mums and said that they were talking again now. She asked what we said to her and we said we had told her we were pregnant. Lukes mum said "oh god don't wind her up" then looked at my face and started crying as she realised we weren't joking!
- Luke's aunties reaction was my favourite! We went to her work to tell her and she was soooo excited and got all teared up and just kept hugging us! 💕

Weaning and my reasons to start at 13 weeks old!

I started weaning Logan at 13 weeks after he refused to eat for two days. He was only have a tiny sip then would cry. He suffers from reflux quite bad but he is on ranitidine for this. I was unsure but after the lack of milk he had taken I decided to mix some porridge with his normal milk and see what he thought. He absolutely loved it! And kept pulling the spoon to his mouth. He only had a couple of spoons for his first try but then straight after he drank 5oz of milk!! More than he would normally drink. Then he stopped drinking again that day so the next morning I did the same. More milky porridge and he drank his milk again and every bottle that day! So happy with it I thought I would stick to a routine and have milky porridge every morning. Then after a week I introduced evening porridge as his pudding but in the evening I gave him a flavoured porridge and he loves it so much and then goes straight to bed in his cot and straight to sleep. I did this for another week before I started introducing lunch. For lunch so far this week Logan has tried mixed veg blended which he didn't like at all. Broccoli blended which he loved! Carrots blended which he was ok with but it took some convincing! Lol and sprouts he hated!!! He kept gagging so that's a no no I think. I'll try again but he might just take after his mummy. (The poop after the sprouts stunk!!!)
So right now he's having porridge with his morning milk. (Milk is always offered first so the food is just a top up on what he already has as he now drinks his bottles properly without needing food first.) then he has blended vegetables for lunch and porridge for supper. I am going to become more creative over the next few weeks so I will do a weaning update!!
Today Logan had blended potato with carrot and broccoli and it didn't go down the best but he ate it all so that's a good sign right?
