Logan's 8 month update!

Although Logan started crawling and climbing last month, this month he is a total pro at it! You'd think he's been doing it months with how fast he goes! He's such a confident little man it's hard to catch him once he's off. Sometimes he goes so fast he face plants the floor 🙈
This month we went to see reindeer at the reindeer farm in rugely. It was so cute!!! We went on a sleigh ride and made a biscuit and got to listen to a story by the fire. We met some reindeer too and although it was freezing it was such an amazing day out!
Logan went to his first birthday party for his daddy's brother who was 2 years old! I was so proud of the way he just played on the soft play by himself and it actually made me sad to see. He has no friends his age there and he was more than happy to be playing by himself bless him 😊
We met Santa!!!!!!!!! This year was Logan's first time seeing Santa and we had no tears!!! He loved it and he was so happy! He got to see reindeer too afterwards and we made special dust for the reindeer for Christmas Eve!
CHRISTMAS TREE SHOPPING!!!

Every year my parents (Logan's nana and grandad) get a real tree. It's a full on day out. The once I'm sure it took 3 hours to pick a tree! Then we get food afterwards and Logan played on the park. He loves the swings so much so even though he couldn't enjoy tree shopping (although he does love trees!!) he loved the park!
Cutest little elf I ever did see

Logan's 7 month update!

This month was an exciting one for us!! Logan started crawling properly and it was so exciting! I love how he is just doing his own thing now and getting to were he wants to be himself! It's hard sometimes when he's always at your ankles no matter were he goes and there's no leaving him in one spot why you quickly do a wee!!!

He's also started pulling himself up. It's fun and exciting untill he hits his head on something. Which is usually many times! He's learning to get back down to the floor safely and sometimes falls a little hard and hits his bottom off the floor. But he's a trouper and he soldiers on and does it again and again and again!

This month Logan went into his own bedroom. I wasn't really ready before now. And I wasn't ready to be honest. But I was hoping he would sleep better because the other half likes to bounce about in bed instead of just rolling over like a normal person!! Lol he took it well though and we had a few more wake ups at first but he seems to like it in there :)

This month one of Logan's biggest milestones was learning to clap!! He loves clapping and does it to everything now. He's so funny and cracks me up all the time!

Here's some 7 month photos!! After uploading photos I realised a lot happened this month!!! So info is under the photos :)

Mummy son selfie! First one in months!!
Logan's first Halloween! This is his bestest friend and although he looks like he thinks Logan's Wierd we will let him off because let's face it. Logan's dressed as a pumpkin!
Logan's first ever fireworks. As much as he cried at the noise he seemed to like the pretty lights!
Logan and his great grandad before he got porly and went into hospital 😘
Our first bonfire night! It was amazing. Logan locked his eyes on them. He loves the lights and didn't cry once! He got a flashy toy and stayed awake the whole time!
We went as a family to the donkey sanctuary!

Logan's 6 month update

So I'm a little bit late on posting Logan's 6 month update! It's hard to admit my tiny newborn is 6 months old!!!

I cannot believe how much he is learning, everyday is totally different and he learns so much!

He is army crawling everywhere... Nothing is safe any longer! But it is so much fun to see him going and getting what he wants to play with or sliding on over to you. He can put one nee forwards but then lies down so we're working on the crawling.

This month we've started baby led weaning and he is doing amazing on it! He will pretty much eat anything. At first it was a case of sucking something spitting it out and throwing it on the floor but a few weeks on and he is pulling bits off with his gums chewing it and swallowing it. He has been for his first carvery (and two more after that) and had his own little meal.

Talking!!! Logan started first saying mama then baba then dada and nana. Now he says dada quite a lot but when he cries or is tired or hungry he will shout mama. So it makes it ok that he says dada all day.

The funniest thing Logan does at the moment is scream when you do! It's so funny! In the morning in bed we all scream for ages because why not!? If you scream he will copy you and he loves it!

For Logan's half birthday (yes we celebrated it) we had a 6 month cake smash and went to the sea life centre! We had so much fun and he loved it so much. I got him a fish tank and am slowly filling it up with fish. He loves looking at them!

Logan also attended his first football match besides watching his daddy at 3 days old! He was a bit bored though and ended up eating wot sits to occupy him

Also Logan went on his first swing and had so much fun!!!

The kind of parent I hope to be!

Looking back at my childhood I try to look at the days my mum and dad made us stay in and do nothing, watch tv because they couldn't be bothered to go out or they were too tired from working all week, or it had been raining and they didn't want me getting dirty...
Then I remember we didn't have any days like this!
Growing up we were always out and about or playing with our parents, either riding our bikes in the garden, or out as a family, going on days on a boat or to the park or swimming... No matter what we were always doing something and always having fun.
My parents were very orientated on me and my sister, if we were playing in the garden they would be there with us... I remember playing in the swimming pool in the garden with my dad and riding my bike around with him, mum would play with my teddys with me and even put on a birthday party for one of my dolls once!
We did things that me and my sister wouldn't want to do, like go and look at airplanes or war museums but it would always turn out fun! And we owed them really for sitting through a barbie and barney concert!

When people ask me about Disney films or old tv shows my reply is 90% of the time no I haven't seen that, and they always say I was a deprived child... But how on earth they can say that is beyond me! Who wants to sit inside watching tv when their parents want to play with them and take them out!

I was such a Tom boy growing up, which I'm sure my dad loved, I would always be in the mud playing with worms and making fish and chips with stones and worms and playing football and riding my bike and playing in water and it was the best times of my life!

When I look at the parent I want to be.. its for my children to look back at their childhood and say that they can only remember days out and fun with their mum and dad... Bike rides, haven holidays, camping, days out to the beach, walking up mountains, playing in dirt, going to the beach, driving all the way to Wales just for a chippy or all the way to stoke just to go to water world... Every single year for my birthday without fail because that's what I wanted to do!

Every parent worrys they won't be good enough, but as long as my children have the same childhood that me and my sister did then I will have done a pretty damn good job!

My parents deserve medals for bringing us up with all the fun they did because it's only now that I realise how hard it is to do things all the time with your children and also I feel for the amount of people who don't get to spend time with their kids!

I will be an amazing mum to my children. I might not always get it right but I will always try and will always turn to my parents for help because now they get to be amazing grand parents instead 😊

Logan's christening!

We had such an amazing day for Logan's christening yesterday! It was so special and so worth all the manic organisation over this last few days! The house looked so pretty and covered in decorations and Logan looked absolutely gorgeous in his outfit and badge from grandad.
Logan's godmother and auntie got him a beautiful bracelet to wear but it kept falling off his little wrists so we have that as a keep sake now that he can try on again in a few months! 😬
Logan woke up with a snotty nose that seemed to get worse through the day which was eventual with his screaming but a few mummy cuddles did the world of good 😊
I'm so happy with all the family and friends that came along to the christening including my high school friend who I haven't seen in a long time came along to celebrate with us and it really meant a lot to me!
Logan got so many kisses yesterday off so many people that came to see him. He had some beautiful presents and lots of cards!!!
His nanna and grandad adopted him a donkey who's name was his middle name 😊 I can't wait to take him to visit him as he grows up!
Logan's first friend made him the most gorgeous photo frame too! I love it so much.
He has an engraved memory box from his godmother and a gorgeous card!!
His godfather got him a Liverpool kit too hehe
A lot of people got him some gorgeous things but I can't list them all!

Thank you to everyone who came and everyone who spoilt my little man and everyone who fingerprinted his tree 😊 it turned out great!

Logan's 5 month update!

This last month has been one of the most enjoyable months of motherhood so far. My cute tiny little newborn has deffinately gone and I now have this fun baby that plays, giggles, smiles at everyone, hardly ever cries, and is just so fun to hang out with! I have the most amazing days with him and I wouldn't change it for the world. I appreciate the days were its me and him so much because I just love bonding with him and playing with him! I get to act like a total idiot and that's ok!!!
In this month Logan got christened!!! My little man looked so cute. A proper little church boy! It was such a good day and I am so greatful to all my family and friends for everyone who came and for everyone who gave Logan cards and gifts. We really appreciate it!!!
In the last week Logan has turned into a blonde! Goodbye ginger hair we have a blue eyed blondie in town! He is so gorgeous! We experienced our first big slide this month and tried lots of new food.
Some of the food he ate this month is, his normal puréed food. And now we have chunky food! He has eaten chunky carrot, avocado and sweet potato and threw most of it all over the floor! He may have had one bite of each, but it's a start on our move to proper solids next month 😊
He's also impartial to an odd taste of chocolate and pizza 🙈
