Anxiety, quitting my job, and starting my own buisness

When it came to work I had to make the biggest decision ever. Do I go back???
Can I afford to go back and pay for nursery?
Do I want to be working 8.30-7.30 all week and weekends and on call all night?
Do I want to leave Logan and go to work?
Leave Logan for more than ten minutes? Can I really do that?
No
Do I want to do that?
No

In my job I wasn't offered to cut my hours down. Not that I expected to. When I handed my notice in I didn't even get a reply or even a phone call, my boss has no respect for his colleagues! The only problem was that I LOVED my job, I worked the last 7 years to get were I was. I love animals and couldn't imagine not working with them everyday...

That was until I had Logan, this tiny helpless boy who just wants his mummy, not some nursery all day because we don't have family around here, well I have some of Lukes family, but I couldn't bare to leave Logan with anyone let alone people I'm not related too.

Iv only ever left Logan with my parents and my sister and even then after a few hours I miss him so much I start to panic. There's no way I can go back to work.

So. I quit

It was a hard choice as how were we going to afford to stay at home!!???

I still don't have the answer to that question yet, were still figuring it out.

Iv cut a lot out of what I spend, Iv swapped to shopping at aldi, Iv cut out snacks and take aways. I'm trying really hard. Sometimes though you just need a little bit of pocket money each week to get out the house.

So I started a buisness. I had to put a lot of money to get it set up. And even now I haven't made as much as I spent, but I enjoy what I'm doing, Iv always been quite an art person so to be making things for people and knowing that something I have made is in someone's house somewhere, for their babies or them home makes me feel amazing! Hopefully one day soon I'll make back as much as I spent! 🙈 and then maybe I will have enough money to go to play groups each week and do nice things at weekend. Or more than that just afford my food shop each week!

Iv kept my buisness identity a secret as I didn't want to be judged etc. But then I think meh. Why not?! Maybe people will trust the buisness more if they know the person behind it. So here is my confession ;)

My buisness is on Instagram and its 'HandMadePersonalTreasures'

I make personalised buntings and plaques for houses or nurserys or presents and I enjoy it so much!!! Hopefully one day I can branch out and do more! But for now I'm happy just making things without making a profit because I have faith that one day I will be able to sell more widely and hopefully people will share and buy from me :)

Logan's 9 month update

This month I deffinately feel like I have a toddler instead of a baby. His walking holding one hand climbing up things, walking around the furniture and is always coping you and thinks he is hilarious 🙈 which to be fair he is!
He has gone into his big boy car seat. This was a desision I didn't just rush into and isn't something I will take lightly if someone wants to have an opinion on it like someone did 👌🏾

He finally got two teeth for Christmas! Oh and he had his first ever Christmas!!!!!

He plays peek a boo and it is the cutest thing ever. Most of the time he'll play it with you, sometimes himself in the mirror and someone's just anyone who's looking lol

This month has been fun as we've been out in his trike a lot, been to the park and down the canal to feed the ducks.

We had our first new year together!!! Doesn't Logan look impressed with this kiss!?!

For some reason this month Logan has decided he doesn't like swimming anymore :( I don't know if it was the teenagers messing about in the baby pool or that he's just going through a phase but we've taken him since he was a few months old and he usually loves it :(

Logan's First Christmas

This Christmas was THE BEST Christmas I ever did have! (Sorry mum and dad but I'm sure you understand having kids makes Christmas better)

The build up to your first Christmas with a child is an excitement Iv never experienced before. The dressing up for baby group party's and pictures with the baby in front  of the tree, wrapping presents, rewrapping them when the baby opens them (or just giving it them early!)

Christmas Eve!!! Getting in your brand new Christmas pjs, reading the night before Christmas, watching a Christmas film, and having a hot chocolate. For some reason Logan was ready for bed at 6pm! Which was a shame because his dad was still out and missed the amazing experience I got to share with Logan. But. It meant he would be up earlier Christmas Day! So we all win!!!

Christmas morning I was waiting and waiting for Logan to wake up! When he finally did I got sooo teary with excitement getting him up! I ran downstairs why Luke brought him down so I got to see his face at his presents!!
His trampoline and trike were built and waiting for him. We sat down and opened all his presents and let him have a little play while we got ready for the busy day ahead!

First we went to Lukes mums family. Logan got so spoilt! The car was full of more presents and we all just spent some time together.

Next we headed to my mum and dads house, Logan got well and truely spoilt and most of his favourite toys came from them! He had so much fun playing with them all. Until something better came along..... FOOOOOD!!!

Logan's first Christmas dinner. He is such an amazing eater that I had been looking forward to this moment!!

To see Logan back home with another car full of toys and to see him play with them was the best Christmas present I could wish for!!!

Merry 1st Christmas baby boy xxxx

Logan's 8 month update!

Although Logan started crawling and climbing last month, this month he is a total pro at it! You'd think he's been doing it months with how fast he goes! He's such a confident little man it's hard to catch him once he's off. Sometimes he goes so fast he face plants the floor 🙈
This month we went to see reindeer at the reindeer farm in rugely. It was so cute!!! We went on a sleigh ride and made a biscuit and got to listen to a story by the fire. We met some reindeer too and although it was freezing it was such an amazing day out!
Logan went to his first birthday party for his daddy's brother who was 2 years old! I was so proud of the way he just played on the soft play by himself and it actually made me sad to see. He has no friends his age there and he was more than happy to be playing by himself bless him 😊
We met Santa!!!!!!!!! This year was Logan's first time seeing Santa and we had no tears!!! He loved it and he was so happy! He got to see reindeer too afterwards and we made special dust for the reindeer for Christmas Eve!
CHRISTMAS TREE SHOPPING!!!

Every year my parents (Logan's nana and grandad) get a real tree. It's a full on day out. The once I'm sure it took 3 hours to pick a tree! Then we get food afterwards and Logan played on the park. He loves the swings so much so even though he couldn't enjoy tree shopping (although he does love trees!!) he loved the park!
Cutest little elf I ever did see
